Norman Petty Studios
The Vault Series - Volume #10
(1953-1959)

35 songs –  17 tracks originally unreleased *
6 panel, full color eco-wallet with session info on each track

We've maxxed out this new collection with 35 tracks from the popular late '50s rock & roll era
and although quite a few of these have been bootlegged previously,
this is their first authorized appearance in digital form.

If you can even find any of these original 45s, they will cost you much more than
the price of this CD....some of these are big $$ collector items!

The CD starts out with Norman Petty on piano
with a jazzy tune proving he was more than capable of different playing styles
and one of the rare instances he wasn't on the Hammond organ.

Buddy Holly is on guitar backing Gary Tollett, Jack Huddle, Fred Crawford, Jerry Engler & Jim Robinson;
recent use on TV shows has given new attention to recordings from Hope Griffith and Juanita Jordan;
and we feature an unreleased track from Roy Orbison with an overdubbed celesta.

Most of these include backing vocals from The Roses who are featured with Don Lanier on "Right Now!"
and their lone solo 45 release of "Almost Paradise".

17 unreleased tracks feature the best West Texas & New Mexico rockers of the era
including Jimmy Bowen, Joe Barnhill, Dean Kelley, Neal Echols and Harold Porterfield.

"Frankie Frankenstein" by Crickets drummer J.I. Allison aka Ivan makes its long overdue first legit digital release.

Before he was a ranting televangelist on TV, a youthful Ken Copeland recorded 2 tracks with Norman,
"Chaser Of Hearts" was later re-recorded later for the Lin label;
a newspaper article of a car crash victim got talent agents in touch with
Wes Bryan for his shockingly similar look to the late James Dean.
Wes tagged along with pal Buddy Knox to a 7th Street session and one of his recordings is included.

Packaging is the same as the other releases in this series,
a 6-panel eco-wallet with recording details and artist photos.
All tracks (except one) are fresh high-res transfers from the original master tapes.

This one is sure to make you jump, jive & wail with some real rockin' rarities!

"Thanks for including Jack Huddle's 'Starlight' in your vault series. So pleased to get it now at the original speed for the first time anywhere and it sounds GREAT!
Elroy Dietzel's 'TEENAGE BALL' sounds better than other reissues.
Thanks again for keeping the Petty legacy well and truly alive. My salute to you!" ~ Tony, Australia
